NEW YORK (October 11, 2022)Yuvo Health, a leading technology-enabled administrative and managed care solution for community health centers, today announced the expansion of its leadership team. Based in Houston are Chief Technology Officer Sujata “Su” Bajaj and Head of Product Dakisha Allen, while Head of Network Development Anthony Thompson and Chief of Staff Ishaan Jalan are based in New York City, where the company is headquartered.

“It is with tremendous pride and excitement that we announce the growth of our leadership team, especially as it is less than six months since our last corporate expansion,” said Cesar Herrera, CEO and co-founder of Yuvo Health. “We are passionate about providing unparalleled support to our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) partners, and with Su, Dakisha, Anthony, and Ishaan at our helm, we are better-positioned to set up our partners for success, empowering them to thrive in their commitment to value-based care.”

Yuvo Health’s four new hires are as follows:

  • As CTO, Ms. Bajaj is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Yuvo Health’s technology resources, while determining how to best leverage the company’s $7.3 million seed funding round to expand beyond their downstate New York launch, as well as strengthening partnerships with FQHCs. With a career spanning 15 years, she honed her SaaS expertise in value based care products during her tenure at Medicare Advantage and Medicaid payers, ACOs in MSSPs (accountable care organizations in managed security service providers), and at Episource, a large risk-adjustment vendor.
  • Ms. Allen, MHA, MBA, is Head of Product, overseeing the company’s product development, while contributing to its growth and ensuring alignment with its target audiences. She brings over 15 years of experience working in healthcare, including Clear Springs Health and Universal American health plans, where she led strategic technical initiatives for improving quality and cost for Medicaid and Medicare members, as well as ACO beneficiaries.
  • As Head of Network Development, Mr. Thompson leads the recruitment, retention, and performance of Yuvo Health’s FQHC partners across the New York State (NYS) market. With nearly 15 years of healthcare and accounting experience, his expertise spans value-based reimbursement models, risk analysis, population health financial data, and health plan operations. He joins most recently from Anthem, now named Elevance Health, where he served as Regional Director, Risk Strategy and Oversight.
  • Mr. Jalan, as Chief of Staff to the CEO, identifies business opportunities and helps determine and operationalize company strategies. With an MBA, as well as an MS in public health, he brings prior healthcare experience from DaVita Inc., a leading provider of Kidney Care, and McKinsey and Co.

Recently, Yuvo Health partnered with PCDC to provide FQHCs with access to support services and new revenue streams through upside risk contracts. Over the summer, they partnered with Fidelis Care to announce the submission of a value-based payment contract to the NYS Department of Health that supports affordable care to historically marginalized populations. Earlier this year, Yuvo Health announced four FQHCs that have joined their independent provider association (IPA): Long Island Select Healthcare, Metro Community Health Centers, Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, and Advantage Care Health Centers.
