Yuvo Health marks National Health Center Week 2024

Campaign celebrates nation’s largest primary care network advancing health equity

Bethesda, MD – Immediate Release – Yuvo Health is a proud sponsor of National Health Center Week (NHCW) 2024, August 4-10. The week-long celebration focused on the theme of “Powering Communities Through Caring Connections,” takes place across the nation with a host of scheduled events that include health fairs, back-to-school drives, health screenings, and visits to local health centers by local, state, and national leaders.

NHCW, launched by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), highlights the essential role Community Health Centers play in improving public health and advancing health equity as the largest primary care network, serving 31.5 million patients nationwide.

Community Health Centers save lives on the front lines of the nation’s most pressing public health challenges. They are powered by a workforce of nearly 300,000 dedicated professionals who reach beyond the walls of the exam room to not only prevent illness but also address the social drivers that may cause it — climate change, homelessness, substance use disorders, food insecurity, and behavioral health.

We are proud to partner with NACHC to support NHCW and the Community Health Center Movement, which has been saving lives for nearly 60 years. Community Health Centers are the best, most resilient, and innovative part of the U.S. healthcare delivery system. As the provider of choice for one in 11 Americans, health centers generate healthcare cost-savings, reduce unnecessary hospitalizations with affordable, comprehensive care, and generate $85 billion in economic activity in the communities they serve.

More than 1,400 Community Health Centers are the health care home to:

• One in 5 uninsured people
• One in 3 people living in poverty
• One in 7 rural residents
• Nearly 9 million children
• 400,000 veterans
