Healthcare pioneer in value-based care, Yuvo Health, expands leadership team with Chief Population Health Officer Ami Patel, MD, and Chief Financial Officer Jorge Stevenson

New C-suite hires will optimize partnerships with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), increasing team by over 1,000% since 2021 launch

NEW YORK (December 13, 2023)Yuvo Health, a leading technology, operational, and administrative solution uniquely designed to give community health centers an advantage in value-based care, today announced Ami Patel, MD, as its Chief Population Health Officer, and Jorge Stevenson as its Chief Financial Officer. Based in New York where Yuvo Health is headquartered, they will report to CEO Cesar Herrera, who launched the company in 2021 with a fully BIPOC founding team. Additionally, Natasha Patel joins as Head of People. In less than three years, the company has grown from four co-founders to a remote team of over 50 employees.

An accomplished healthcare leader with a passion for driving innovative population-health initiatives, CPHO Dr. Patel will oversee data-driven, decision-making processes that lead to impactful, accessible, and equitable healthcare solutions. She joins from HealthCare Partners, a healthcare-management delivery system that contracts with health plans, where she served as Senior Vice President of Population Health. With a career spanning over 20 years, Dr. Patel previously was Chief Program Officer for Morris Heights Health Center (MHHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides primary care, specialty services, dental, and behavioral health services in the Bronx, serving thousands of patients all over the Bronx.

A skilled finance leader with over fifteen years of experience in finance, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business development in the financial and technology industries, Mr. Stevenson has served as a board member and advisor for numerous organizations. Before joining Yuvo Health as its CFO, he was Vice President of Strategic Finance at Bestow, a leading end-to-end digital infrastructure startup that powers the life-insurance industry. Additionally, Mr. Stevenson is an adjunct professor for graduate students at New York University, teaching finance for marketing decisions and competitive strategy. He earned his MBA with honors from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, a certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School and a BBA with honors in business administration and economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, one of the leading higher-education institutions in Latin America.

Recently, Yuvo Health announced a $20.2 million Series A round of financing, enabling the company to further scale from New York to Ohio, while transitioning to accept full-risk arrangements on behalf of their FQHC partners. In conjunction with their funding news, Yuvo Health added several new FQHCs, doubling their original number announced last year, which now reaches more than 150,000 patients.
